MOBUP: Flickr for your Mobile

November 9th, 2005 | by amarfresh |

Flickr, the photosharing community popularized by bloggers, has gone mobile. Thanks to their 3rd party API availability, MOBUP, a mobile java (J2ME) upload tool has been released.

In addition to uploading photos, the software, currently in public beta, allows users to add tags, post to blogs, and add photos to existing photosets.

Due to mobile data costs the software is limited to uploading images with a 320×240 resolution. I wouldn’t be surprised if this changes or is configurable in the future. (Cause I’m gonna want to upload pics to from my next megapixel+ cameraphone.)
